I wanted to use a healthier alternative to table salt in my cooking so this is how Salann came about. I live in Saltmills, a small village on the Hook Peninsula in Wexford where I blend small batches of salt between shifts in the kitchen.

Himalayan sea salt contains the same 84 minerals/elements found in the body and I combine it with the aromatic properties of pure edible essential oils. If you use salt to season your food, you may as well use the good stuff.

Himalayan sea salt crystals are larger than ordinary table salt so you need to use less. The edible essential oils I use go through rigorous testing to ensure their purity and as they are highly concentrated, only a few drops are needed in each blend.
